Vodacce

Vodacce's Story

Vodacce (voh-DAH-chay) is in some ways two separate nations ruled by seven princes. Continental Vodacce is covered in swamps and flood plains, which has moved the princes to build their castles on the southern islands while maintaining provincial control over the mainland. They control nearly all southern trade in Théah. The islands are responsible for less than twenty percent of Vodacce's production, but all of its trade.

The noble class of Vodacce springs from its roots in the Old Republic to families that held seats in the Senate. The Princes seldom gather together except to determine matters of policy, or for very formal social occasions. The men of Vodacce are its public face, full of cunning and bravado. Behind that facade stand the Fate Witches. Somber-clad and silent, they manipulate the threads of fate.

Lately, stuck in a trade war with the Vendel League the Princes have formed a reluctant alliance with each other to combat the competition. But each of the Vodacce princes is a very ambitious man. There have not always been seven princes; there have been as many as twelves and as few as three. Today there are seven. Who knows about tomorrow?
